Terms and conditions

At Meidoornhoeve, we believe in transparency. Our webshop sells chicken coops. We only sell our chickens on-site, following a personal visit to the farm in Oostnieuwkerke. Below you will find everything you need to know about ordering, delivery, and the purchase of live animals. Any questions left unanswered? Feel free to email or call us.

These terms and conditions apply to every order placed via meidoornhoeve.be and to every purchase made on-site at the farm. By placing an order or making a purchase, you expressly accept these terms.

Via our webshop, we sell chicken coops and related products. These are delivered to your home via courier service, unless specifically stated otherwise for a product. At the farm in Oostnieuwkerke, we sell live chickens (laying chickens and ornamental chickens). These are purchased exclusively on-site, following prior contact or a visit. We do not ship live animals via courier service.

All prices on our webshop are listed in euros, including VAT. Shipping costs are calculated separately and shown before the final order.
Online orders are paid for using the payment methods offered on the webshop. The order will only be processed after full payment.
On-site purchases are paid for in cash or via a payment app at the time of collection.
Meidoornhoeve reserves the right to change prices at any time, provided that the price at the time of ordering applies.

Our chicken coops are delivered via an external courier service. The estimated delivery time is 3 to 5 business days after receipt of payment, subject to force majeure. Meidoornhoeve is not liable for delays caused by the courier service.

Check the packaging upon receipt. Any transport damage must be reported within 48 hours via info@meidoornhoeve.be, including photos of the damage and the packaging. Without this notification, we can no longer claim transport damage from the courier service.

We sell live chickens exclusively at the farm in Oostnieuwkerke (Staden, West Flanders – Belgium). We do not ship live animals via courier service.

How does it work? During your visit, we provide advice on breeds and group composition. You choose your animals on-site, pay, and take them with you immediately.

No right of withdrawal for live animals: the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to the purchase of live animals, in accordance with Article VI.53 of the Code of Economic Law. You inspect the animals upon collection; once they leave the farm, they are under your responsibility.

Meidoornhoeve is not liable for indirect damage resulting from the use of the delivered products or animals. Liability is in any case limited to the purchase price of the product or animal. For live animals, you as the buyer are personally responsible for:

  • Correct housing, nutrition, and care
  • Compliance with any FASFC obligations (from 200 animals or for commercial activity)
  • Compliance with bird flu or confinement obligations
  • Animal welfare standards

The delivered products remain the property of Meidoornhoeve until full payment has been received.
